Due to MPCT Learners being so prepared, The Royal Marines create bespoke “Look @ Life” days for our Learners several times a year which are more challenging than other Look @ Life courses. Watch the videos below to see what goes on.
We have seen many Learners progress into the Royal Marines, and they all say how well MPCT prepared them for The Commando Training Centre. Here are just a few of the many successful MPCT Learners that have progressed to Lympstone.
Mr Ingram, stood here with former Royal Marine Commando Chris Fletcher who is now an Instructor at MPC Birmingham passed out as a Royal Marine Commando at the end of 2018. He was recently given the MPCT Alumni Award at our Midlands Awards Ceremony for which he came to during his leave and also presented an award to his old fellow Learners.
Many former and current Royal Marines have been and continue to be impressed by the standards of MPCT Learners. Take a look at the influential people below who believe that MPCT is a fantastic starting block to becoming a Royal Marine Commando.
In an interview with Colonel Mike Tanner OBE at the beginning of 2019 conducted by our Royal Marines Liaison Officer Si Richardson, he discussed how the beneficial the relationship between MPCT and The Royal Marines is.
"With little intervention, in the last 12 months, MPCT have out 31 learners into RM Ph1 Trg (the highest single cap badge of all 3 Services)." He also went on to say how MPCT Learners are more prepared than the aeverage Look @ Life Candidate, due to the levels of preparedness that MPCT Staff coach the learners to.
"The college has a strong ethos and fosters an approach and mindset that is similar to that required both on selection and on into recruit training."
